about

Recorded at La Sauna Studios in Varese, Italy. Mr. Henry is all over this shit, yo with some wack ass guitar work. Andrea Cajelli on drums. Alan Perini on double bass. These are good people doing beautiful things. Andrea owns the studio and the guy is an angel. His mom made us some italian rice dish that was the bomb. I stayed at Alan's house for this adventure. Met his new love, Valentina. They're having a baby! Maybe by the time you've read this, they've had a baby! Or maybe it's not even a baby anymore. Anyway, the sample at the beginning is Emiliano Dante from the movie Into The Blue.

lyrics

short walk away
tied to a stump
cold
disdain
tears
then to arrive
separate
soft
silence
hear

all too familiar
better than that
better than that now

what sets us off?
swelling the sails
mast strains keel
oh, please return
circumnavigate home again

all too familiar

all the poor people
thrown from the cupboard
out on the lawn
keeping it trimmed
all the poor people
cell phones and fashion

high on TV
sunning themselves

oh, saboteur
invisible
constant
endure
say!
I could be rich one day!
I could be rich!
I could be rich!
think about that now
ha ha ha ha ha ha
think about that now

“Rainstick Cowbell makes searing music that’s intensely personal…[from] intense, clear-eyed rants to unhinged exorcisms. It’s exhilarating to hear music this raw.”
